Navigate

This tag is inspired by a map.
To do this first I cut out a tag on a map and then cut out a globe and screwed it up to
give it a vintage affect.

Hope you like it.

Dew Web

This was for the Crafty Boots Junior DT blog.
The theme was Halloween.

The thing I did was a web with beads on to represent the dew.
This linked to the theme because spiders are associated with Halloween and a spiders web looks nice when rain or something has been caught on the silk.

Decopatch Time

I was in a Decopatch Mood and I Decopatched  3 things. A frame, pencil pot and a mask.

For the pencil pot I choose to do it in  mosaic tissue paper.

For the frame I used a patterned tissue paper.

And for the mask used different tissue papers from
my past Decopatchs.

Hunger Tribute

This is a card, inspired by my favourite book, THE HUNGER GAMES.
with just a bit of distress ink and printing ink, card, gel pen, glossy accents
ribbon and stickles you can make something that is simple but effective.

rolled newspaper

This is for the junior DT for which the theme was
Something Recycled.

To do this wall hanging, first I cut strips of newspaper(all different sizes) and rolled them up and to hold them in place stuck them with glue and left them to dry.
While they were drying I made sure that I had a spare strip left over that was doubled up so I
could separate it at the top.
Then in length order laid them out going down.
Starting from the top I glued them to each other. On the doubled over strip stick it together leaving folded over end. Carefully lifted the roll strip over onto the doubled over one and stuck it down.
At the top on the strip under the rolls twist the top carefully and tie a ribbon around at such a position that you can easily hang it up.

Black, Stripes and Glitter

This is for the junior DT for which the theme was
Bingo.

Out of the possible 7 element combinations I choose
Black
Stripes
Glitter.

To do this wall hanging, first I cut out 3 circles using the big shot out of card and the same with
butterfly paper from Tim Holtz paper stack Crowed Attic. Stick the circles together 1 card 1 butterfly paper.

Whilst that was drying I got a long strip of black paper and with a sliver pen and a ruler colour every other centimetre for 5mm. When the circles had dried I went round the butterflies with silver embossing powder and embossed. Then I went around the inside of the butterflies in glossy accents. Whilst that was drying I got a piece of ribbon and distressed it. Made it into a loop and using black thread put a stitch in.

The ends of the ribbon were glued to the back of the black strip. Evenly spacing the circles on the strip of card and put the glue on the strip and stick the circles.

Pyramid Holiday

This is for the Crafty Boots DT.
For this topic we choose to do
Holidays.
I choose to do a holiday mosaic of my favourite holiday destination.
First sketch the outline and sort the mosaic pieces in colours and place where you want. Go round and paint the back of the mosaic pieces with PVA, and stick down wait till dry. Then using fine grout go over the whole mosaic trying to scrap off the grout of the top but leave it between thepieces. leave to dry slightly for 20 minute and with a damp cloth wipe the surface. The next day do the same with the grout.

Hope you like my mosaic.
